Matte Paint Protection and Maintenance

Matte paint cannot be corrected. If you have sap, bird droppings, bug splatter sitting on your paint for over 24 hours in a Manitoba summer, the acids can cause permanent staining or etching. For this to be repaired, it would be have to be repainted. So in our minds, a chemical resistant paint coating is the best option for protection ranging from 2-7 years. The best possible case scenario is the owner or us picking up the car straight from the dealership, without it even being washed for new car delivery. If you decide to drive your vehicle for a while before coating then it may require some additional body prep hoursĀ before coating to remove tar and iron deposits. Our entry level sealant applicationĀ for matte paint is $399 (Chemical Guys Matte Jet Seal). For our best protection, click here for ceramic coatings ranging from 2-7 years.

We recommend bringing your matte vehicle in every 6 months, like most vehicles for body prep to remove tar, iron deposits and other contaminants. If you choose to do this work yourself, please ensure your vehicle is washed properly, and that you do not apply to much pressure. A new microfibre must be used as well as biodegradable cleaners. Do a test spot with the product in an inconspicuous area first.
